A Leaf’s Persona

I remember as a child collecting beautiful fallen leaves and laying them out on a sheet of wax paper. Then we would shave pieces of coloured crayon onto them, place another sheet of wax paper on top and with gentle heat from an iron, the colours would melt and swirl making a beautiful pattern with leaves. This single leaf has so many colours it could be all on its own without anything artificial to enhance it. We have many personas or social masks too that we put on as needed to fit in here or there. Which mask are you wearing today and if you removed it, what colour or persona would be hiding below?
