Me:

There are many labels I could give myself and at the end of the day the labels are not who I am.

I’m a veterinarian (usually sparks a reaction and results in someone telling me I must love animals…yes, I know). I have a MBA (not sure what this makes me) and I’m a certified group fitness instructor, weight training instructor and personal training specialist. I’m a pole dancer (another interesting label that gives people content to judge). I’m a daughter (only as long as I still have a living parent and then not sure)? I’m a sister, a friend, an auntie and a great aunt. I’m a pet owner. I have many spiritual beliefs and I think and feel deeply.

To summarize, I’m a human being bumbling around (trapped) on this planet like the rest of you for a limited time. Life is a gift and it a sheer miracle that we are here at all. We are all the same so to tell you about myself is to tell you about yourself.

Any thoughts and stories I share come from my brain and through my lens of the world. They are my opinions and not meant to replace professional care or advice from a medical professional, mental health professional or your veterinarian. Always be critical of what you see and hear. Our senses are so limiting. Challenge your own thoughts and beliefs and challenge the voice inside of your head. It lies and it is the noisy and disturbed roommate as Michael A. Singer so aptly describes it.

Read what I write if it adds something positive to your life. If it doesn’t, then don’t. I don’t write for you; I write for me. And always, be kind. Those who hurt others have been hurt. Break the cycle. Be kind (first and foremost to yourself).
