My friend gave me this maroon shamrock plant and it has flourished. It is referred to as red or purple, but I see maroon. Due to circumstances beyond her control she had to move away and uproot her life here, but her plant stayed. It grows a little each day. The triangular leaves fold down at night like tiny umbrellas. The delicate flowers close at night to rest and open each morning to greet the sunlight when invited. What a beautiful design…opening to let in the light and holding ourselves closed to preserve our energy when there is nothing that serves us in the environment. I miss you, dear friend, and hope you are letting the light in.
