I felt so alone living with my sleep challenges until I read Ada Calhoun’s Why We Can’t Sleep. Now after decades it seems so obvious to me. There are so many more reasons to have trouble falling or staying asleep postmenopause than there are to actually sleep…the blocks are not stacked in our favour. Instead of asking why can’t I sleep, maybe we need to ask the question how could I possibly sleep? Admiring our pets after a full morning I am filled with a sense of calmness and love (and just a little envy).

Sleep challenges are so common yet we are expected just to ‘live with it’. I’ll read the book, thank you for the recommendation.😀
