I call this one my Little Prince (an alias) named after the character in The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. In this novel the Little Prince is devoted to the care of his unique rose. The rose is precious and the depth of the connection exists because of the time, care and vulnerability he gives to it. Our Little Prince needs special care each day in order to survive and his human lovingly provides this. Perhaps kitty is the precious and beautiful rose that is tended to. But are we the ones looking after these precious creatures in our lives, or are they the ones who look after us with all of the love they give? 🌹
