This palm tree must have been intentionally planted in downtown Vancouver. It doesn’t seem to know how out of place it is…far from its land of origin. It stands straight and confidently and believes it belongs and so others believe it too. As social psychologist Amy Cuddy says in her famous 2012 TED talk: “fake it till you become it” (video available on YouTube).
